Flash Institut #3

The Flash Institute is a center for cultural production, research, development and exchange.

This issue of Institut explores the paradigm of the investigator archetype. Each of the contributing editors was asked to conduct their research in an investigative mode with special reference to the detective characters of Noir films and pulp-fiction: hard-boiled street-level researchers who operate above the law.

The project consists of three parts: the 3rd issue of the Flash Institut newspaper, a Flash Bar and Public readings (Flash City). The publication of the newspaper coincided with the opening of the Lithuanian Art ’08: Photography exhibition at ŠMC/CAC in vilnius, one part of which was curated by Mirjam Wirz.
